Joeys 5-8 years

Our Joey unit was established in 2020 under the guidance of new leaders Anthony (Quokka) and Gus (Pelican). Starting with 5 Joeys, the unit quickly grew reaching 12 by mid 2021. Two founding Joeys earnt their Peak award The Joey Scout Challenge Award later that year. Pelican left the unit at the end of 2021 to pursue endeavours and Janette (Echidna) stepping up from an Adult helper to leader to fill the gap. Late 2022 saw founding leader step down due to ill health, which saw former Cub leader Kate (Raksha) and Adult helper Zoe (Koala) and Judi (Possum) taking up the leadership to the end of 2023. During this time we saw another two Joeys earn their Peak award. Our Cub leaders Echidna and Bruce (Rama) ran the unit throughout 2023 and 2024 where 2 more Joeys earnt the Joey Challenge award.

2025 starts off with the Joey unit in remission until a new leader is found. With around 5 young youth wanting to join, we invite you to take up the challenge to become a Joeys leader, guiding them to achieve their best, while the learn by doing. Cubs 8-11 years.

Our Cubs unit was restarted in 2012, after being in recess for a short period. Leaders Andrew (Baloo) and Kate (Raksha). They ran the unit until the end of 2020 in which they had 5 youths achieve their peak award, they Grey Wolf. Janette (Echidna) took over the role moving up from Assistant Joey Leader in late 2022. Echidna was joined by Bruce (Rama), who both run a successful Cubs Unit seeing 5 Grey Wolf awards in a short 2 years.

Scouts 11-15 years

The Scout unit was relaunched in 2012 after a recess from 2006. Cathy (Cookie) ran the Unit until her retirement in 2022 guiding 3 youth to earn their Peak Award The Australian Scout Award. Steve (Skipper) took up the role in mid 2023. Ange (Stretch) joined as Skippers assistant in the beginning of 2024. In Late 2024 Skipper left to pursue other interests and Stretch took over as Leader in Charge of the Unit and is looking forward to a massive 2025, with the Unit booked to do Stradbroke and The Scout Hike before the Scout year has even began.
